FLU AND COVID AUTUMN 2025

Flu and Covid immunisations will be offered to all eligible patients from October 2025 You will receive a text message or letter to ask you to contact the surgery to book an appointment .

PRIVATE HEALTHCARE

Individuals choosing to procure healthcare privately are effectively stepping outside of the Health and Social Care HSC system. In these circumstances there is no obligation on GP's to provide pre and/or post treatment support. Therefore it is important for individuals wishing to avail of private healthcare to ensure that all pre and post treatment costs are inculded in the overall package of care from the private healthcare provider. In instances where any ongoing treatment and medication is recommended but is not provided by the private provider as part of the private service, individuals should be prepared to meet any associated costs. 

Post Treatment includes:

• Surture Removal
• Staple Removal 
• Wound Assessment 
• Wound Dressing
• Medication Requests

PHARMACY FIRST SORE THROAT SERVICE

Many pharmacies are now offering this service. Please contact your local pharmacy for assessment of your condition. they will take a swab of your throat and can issue an antibiotic if it is required. Please note this service is not available to children under 5 years of age. 

Flu Vaccine

We are now able to offer the Flu vaccination to all patients aged 50 years and older. Please call the surgery to book an appointment.
